The Use-Value Score Calculator is a website I developed as part of a grad school project that functions as a practical extension of a theoretical paper I wrote for another Kutztown graduate seminar about sustainable design and telling a new design story. Contrary to exchange-value (a commodity’s price, which exists only in a market), use-value measures the intrinsic capacity of a thing to meet a real human need, the way water quenches thirst.
